My dogs are so good off leash! I have a lot of trust that I never had before. Two people complimented me today about how good they are. Both dogs sat down immediately when a child came to pet them.🙌🙌🙌

When our pup Freya came home at 8 weeks we of course thought she was perfect. Hyper, but otherwise perfect. We did the generic puppy training class with mixed results but blamed the training failures on "she's still a puppy". This worked well for the first month or so but soon enough she started exhibiting food aggression and resource guarding. We found ways to manage the situation well enough. We gave her space when she was eating, left her alone when she went in her kennel with a toy, knew not to get too close when she was sleeping on the couch after a full day of playing hard. But as time went on we started to feel less in control of the situation and how our household was running. We seemed to be bending to fit Freya’s behaviors rather than training her to fit our rules. We were looking for three main things for help when we sent our dog to Du Nord: Crate behavior, walks on leash, and staying put when asked.

"Kennel Up" : Asher is the kind of dog that loves to be near people, especially his humans. This said, he never loved being in a kennel. We used to have to pick him up and place him right in front of the kennel to get him inside. Now, he senses when we are leaving the house and walks in on his own. Sometimes he even goes in there “for fun” to play with his toys while we’re watching a movie. It’s a magical thing.
